Ogone partners with Webloyalty enabling European online retailers to boost repeat business and revenue
Exclusive partnership brings a great online membership programme to European e-tailers, leveraging often unused webspace on payment confirmation pages

London, United Kingdom, 16 December, 2010 – Ogone Payment Services, one of Europe’s largest service providers specialising in the processing of online payments and Webloyalty, a leading provider of online consumer savings, discount and protection programmes have signed a European partnership agreement to bring  Webloyalty’s programme to European online retailers and their customers.

The partnership means Ogone’s 25,000+ European merchant customers can integrate Webloyalty’s savings, discount and protection programme directly within the Ogone payment confirmation page. Retailers benefit from additional revenue plus repeat purchases as Webloyalty offers a cash back voucher to customers, which can be used towards a future purchase at the retailer’s site. Additionally, their customers benefit from an array of discounts and cash back offers of up to 20% at over 800 popular online stores by being members of Webloyalty’s membership programme, Shopper Discounts & Rewards. Online shoppers are encouraged to become members of the programme with banner advertisements displayed on the retailer’s Ogone-powered payment confirmation page once the original purchase has been completed.

Martin Child, Managing Director Europe, Webloyalty commented: “We decided to sign this partnership with Ogone due to the company’s leading role in payment processing across a wide range of European markets. Ogone’s customer-base is also a good fit for our programme with a strong focus on travel and consumer retail brands.”

Julian Wallis, UK Country Manager, Ogone added: “Savings and discounts membership programmes have gone from strength to strength in the online world and Webloyalty’s offering will bring added benefits to our merchant customers and their customers in-turn. Placing the opportunity to join the programme on the payment confirmation page makes perfect sense as it doesn’t interrupt the shopping process and makes use of webspace which is often overlooked. The technical integration to make this happen is simple and the revenue and loyalty opportunity for merchants significant.”

A leading pan-European online payment processing provider, Ogone Payment Services has 95% of the Belgium e-commerce payment market. The company has grown rapidly throughout Europe and now serves 25,000 customers in 35 markets with offices in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the UK.
